Refund Policy
Effective August 10, 2026
This policy applies to The First Letter digital book sold by The Light I Left On under The Light I Left On brand.
The 30-day keep-the-files guarantee
You may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date. You may keep the PDF and EPUB files after the refund. You do not need to delete, return, or prove destruction of the files.
How to request a refund
Email the verified support address within the 30-day period. Include:
- The email address used at checkout.
- The order number, if available.
- A clear statement that you are requesting a refund for The First Letter.
You do not need to explain why the book was not useful. Do not send payment-card details.
How the refund is issued
Refunds requested under this policy are returned to the original payment method. The payment processor and your financial institution control when the credit appears. The Light I Left On will not replace the refund with store credit unless you specifically request and agree to that option.
Delivery or file problems
If the download link is missing, expired, or the file cannot be opened, contact support. A replacement link or working file can be provided. Choosing troubleshooting does not shorten the 30-day refund period.
Legal rights
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that applies by law. If a payment processor must apply a more protective rule, that rule controls.
