This Privacy Policy explains how The Light I Left On operating The Light I Left On, collects, uses, and shares personal information through this site, its email list, customer support, and digital product sales.

Information collected

Information you provide

• Email signup information: your email address, consent status, and related subscription activity when you request the one-page guide or join the email list.
• Purchase information: information made available by the payment processor, such as your name, email address, order number, product purchased, payment status, tax location, and refund status. The Light I Left On does not receive your full payment-card number.
• Support information: your email address, message, attachments you choose to send, and any order details needed to answer a request.

Information collected through the site

Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. If Plausible analytics is activated after launch verification, limited site-usage data will also be processed to understand aggregate traffic and page performance.

• systeme.io for email forms and email delivery.
• A payment processor for checkout, tax handling, digital delivery, and refunds.
• Cloudflare and GitHub for site delivery, hosting support, security, and deployment.
• Plausible for site analytics if and when the commented integration is activated.
• PurelyMail for business email after the verified channel address is configured.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect legal rights or site security, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction. The Light I Left On does not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and external pages

This site does not intentionally use advertising cookies. Checkout, email, and other external pages may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. The Plausible integration is a commented placeholder until the live domain and configuration are verified.

Retention

Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including delivery, support, tax and accounting records, dispute handling, security, and legal compliance. Email subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to limited suppression records needed to honor that choice.

Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or sensitive family records through the email form.

International processing

Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy protections may differ by location. The Light I Left On uses providers and contractual arrangements intended to support lawful processing.
